Hello!
It has been several years since we released a true set “il Mattoncino Made”.
In recent years, we have created many customizations, working for organizations and clients, and we ended up putting our own projects on the back burner.
But the wait is over.
We have had something in the works for a while, and we finally had the time to work on it as we wanted to present it.
In fact… to present them.
Yes, I am speaking in the plural.
We are preparing not one, but three exclusive sets signed by il Mattoncino!
This is how Ticino Icons was born, a line of sets designed for LEGO® enthusiasts in Ticino, but also for those who visit and love our Canton and want to take home… a brick.
The stars of the first collection will be Locarno, Bellinzona, and Lugano, reproduced as actual postcards to build.
The sets evoke the style of classic postcards and encapsulate some of the most recognizable icons of each city. These are not scale reproductions, but an artistic interpretation of the places and symbols that represent them.
And Locarno, Bellinzona, and Lugano are just the beginning.
If Ticino Icons is well received, the idea is to expand the collection with other locations and, why not, in the future even go beyond the borders of Ticino.
We are also working to ensure that the sets can be purchased directly in the area, with points of sale in the three represented cities.
We can’t wait for you to finally build our new sets!
